Membership is open to anyone interested in our traditions and educational work. An informal application by email to info@scapularconfraternity.com is sufficient. The annual fee is 24 euros and supports our workshops and readings.

We organize monthly dialect readings in various inns, quarterly craft workshops for young people, and the annual traditional Harvest Festival in September. The exact schedule is announced on this page and via circular.

Yes, the craft workshops are generally open to all interested parties. Members receive a 30 percent discount on the participation fee. Prior registration is required as places are limited to twelve people.

The workshops are led by experienced craftsmen from the region, including Prof. Dr. Hellmuth Siebert B.Eng. for wood carving and Anastasia Kretschmer for traditional weaving techniques. The readings are given by local authors such as Lieselotte Engelhardt-Förster, who regularly tells stories in dialect.

We welcome active participation. Suggestions for new events, topics for readings, or improvements can be sent directly by email to info@scapularconfraternity.com or discussed after a meeting with our board. The contact details can be found on the contact page.

In addition to membership, we welcome donations for our educational projects. Help with organizing festivals or providing spaces for workshops is also welcome. Just contact us – any support helps keep our cultural traditions alive.

Anastasia Kretschmer holds a degree in cultural pedagogy and has been designing practical workshops for five years that inspire young people with traditional craft techniques. Her work combines theory with direct experience.
